Our Pastor, Bob Hill
Bro. Bob was born in Alabama but moved to Tennessee with his family at the age of five. Being raised in church, he accepted the Lord as his Savior at the age of 7 and was baptized soon afterwards. His college years found him getting away from God but he rededicated his life at age 22 and was called to the ministry shortly after that. Bob served as the Minister of Music in several churches in Alabama and Tennessee during the 80's and early 90's and later felt the call to pastoral ministry. He was licensed as a Southern Baptist minister in 1992. After serving as Minister of Youth at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Alabama, Bro. Bob was called as pastor of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Huntland, TN. in August of 1995 and was ordained in September of the same year. After serving at Hickory Grove for nine years, he was called as pastor of Donaldson Grove in October 2005. Bro. Bob has been married for 18 years to his wife Kay and they have two children - Erica 17 and Evan 13. He will tell you that one of the greatest things he has experienced in the ministry is to see both of his children come to know Christ as Savior and having the opportunity to baptize them. Bro. Bob's desire for the congregation of Donaldson Grove, as well as all Christians, is that each person might develop a deep, personal, intimate relationship with Christ and truly experience life at it's fullest by living for God.
